The Spring 2018 Project begins on
Tusesday, January 23rd
Performances will be on Tuesdays, May 15 and 22,
with a dress rehearsal on May 14.
On January 23rd the Project will begin with a presentation by Judith Malafronte and Richard Kolb introducing the repertoire for this semester's project and its historical context, and related performance practice issues. At the same time there will be auditions for new singers only, for the purpose of assigning roles. Previous participants need not audition, just confirm they will participate and list their Tuesday conflicts).

In preparation for the Collective's Spring project of staged baroque drama, Paul Shipper will present two classes in baroque gesture to begin our second term. The classes will be held on Tuesday evening, January 9 and 16, 2018 from 7 to 9:00 PM.
The NYCC String Band invites any and all string players to a two-session informal performance practice masterclass with Leah Nelson and Charlie Weaver. This will be an opportunity to work on continuo collaboration, try out a new piece or perform an old warhorse, and discuss various performance issues. January 23 & 30, 7-9:00 PM, on the 3rd floor.
Tuition for the Spring Project will be $500, which will include the two special classes, above. The cost for those two classes alone will be $50. NYCC sliding scale/work-study policy applies, for those with financial difficulties.
