The New York Early Music Series started in 1995 as a few informal concerts. It has gradually evolved into an ongoing series, the aim of which is to provide a showcase for performers in the New York Early Music community, whether they be seasoned and renowned or up and coming. While we have had the honor of presenting such luminaries as Andrew Lawrence-King, lutenist Robert Barto, and Drew Minter and Pat O'Brien, we are equally proud of all those concerts which presented the talents of New York's next generation of musicians, too numerous to list. The recent affiliation of NYEMS with the New York Continuo Collective has provided us with new resources and talents that will continue to ensure the high quality of our offerings.
